April 13th – Farmer’s Market at Poplar Grove
Fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, herbs, flowers, eggs, cheese, meats, seafood, honey, pickled and canned goods, peanuts, arts and crafts and more! There is plenty of free parking, picnic tables, and a playground. Visit the Animal Sanctuary, Basket Gallery, Gift Shop, and exhibits with information on blacksmithing, peanuts, weaving and more. The morning market will be open on Wednesday’s from 8am-1pm starting April 13th until September 28th.
April 16th – Relay for Life
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity! It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length.
