Dress Up Your Front Porch for Spring

With the days getting longer and the weather getting warmer, Spring brings extended time outdoors. Nothing beats a front porch refresh to celebrate the season. Here are some great ways to decorate your front porch for Spring.

1)    Seating

Think rocking chairs, swings and benches. Anything to invite your guests to sit a while. White and bright colors or pastels are great for spring. Add cushions and pillows for a comfy feel and added interest.

2)    Painted Doors

Painting your door is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to brighten up your porch. You can also add decorative hardware such as door knobs, mail slots, door knockers and address numbers to add interest. Try brighter hues and finishes.

3)    Planters

Potted plants and flowers are one of the easiest seasonal items to add to your porch. They add great color and texture. For covered porches, select shade-loving plants. You can use unconventional items as planters to add interest and there are lots of different styles to choose from.

4)    Vintage Garden

A small table with plants and herbs can add a spring touch to your porch and also be functional for gardening and saving space.

5)    Welcome Mat

A new welcome mat is a quick, functional change. Personalize them with monograms or choose based on seasonal decoration. There are some great DIY options for these.

6)    Wreaths

Wreaths are always a welcoming added touch to a front door. You can change them out for holidays or go with something classic that lasts through the whole season.

7)    Lighting

Refreshing sconces or adding outdoor lanterns, candles or string lights are a great way to warm up the space and are great for staying outdoors later.
