Southport North Carolina 4th of July Festival

The North Carolina 4th of July festival is back in Southport this year!

The history of Southport’s Fourth of July Festival celebration was first recorded in a newspaper in 1795. In 1972, the Festival was incorporated at the N.C. 4th of July Festival.

You can catch a multitude of activities starting July 1st and going through July 4th!

Fireworks will be held on both July 1st and July 4th as well as a Flag Raising Ceremony on July 4th. You don’t want to miss out on the Freedom Flotilla on July 4th where the maritime community shows its patriotic spirit as they parade on the Intracoastal Waterway from Southport’s Old Yacht Basin toward St. James Marina.

Historic Downtown Wilmington

There will also be an all-day event held in historic downtown Wilmington to celebrate the 4th of July

From 1 pm – 8 pm, at the Riverwalk you’ll find local bands, kid’s activities, food, a beer garden and more! The fireworks will begin at 9:05 and will be visible from Water Street.

Carolina Beach

Independence Day Fireworks by the Sea & Boardwalk Blast will be held on July 2 where music will begin at 6:30 and Fireworks will be at 9 pm!

Music starts at the Gazebo Stage at 6:30 PM with the Johnny Folsom 4 a tribute band playing songs from “The Man in Black”.

Onslow County

The 37th Annual Freedom Festival will be held at Onslow Pines Park on July 4th! At 5 pm you can see the Jake Bartley Band and the North Tower Band at 7 pm. Fireworks will be held at 9 pm.

You will also be able to find plenty of food trucks!

New Bern

The 4th of July Celebration in New Bern will begin at 5:30 pm where there will be live music, food trucks, inflatables, games and activities.

Fireworks will also begin at 9:15 pm
