This inaugural Dining & Dancing event features a seated sunset Sunday supper, live music, beer and wine. Proceeds benefit Little Pink Houses of Hope, which provide vacations for breast cancer patients and their families. Event starts at 6pm.

Cape Fear Independent Film Festival

The Cape Fear Independent Film Festival holds screening at the Community Arts center in downtown Wilmington. The event celebrates local, regional, national, and international films. Includes 3 days of films and Saturday is Prom Night after the Wilmington Film Awards.

Bubbles & Blooms

Bubbles & Blooms at the New Hanover County Arboretum in Wilmington features blooming borders and floating bubbles, plus live music with L Shape Lot, food trucks, and drinks. Proceeds help support the Arboretum.

Bald Head Island Pirate Invasion
Bald Head Island
The pirates are coming and taking over the island for a weekend of lighthearted plundering. Meet historically accurate reenacts and learn about the pirate life in the 17th and 18th centuries. Events and activities all weekend include partying with pirates, reenactments, sea battle, pirate camps, a ghost walk, pancakes with pirates, and activities for children and adults.

Food Truck Rodeo & Jam
Middleton Park: SE 46th St, Oak Island, NC 28465
Food trucks of all kinds will be serving a variety of delicious dishes while bands play live music. Bands include Bad Alibis, Nowcast, Blindside and Subcitizen. Food includes A&E Food truck, Joe’s Loves Lobster Roll, Seafood Hut and more. Suggested donation is $5 to benefit the Middleton Park Redevelopment Project.

4th of July Festival Beach Day

In conjunction with Southport’s NC 4th of July Festival, the annual Oak Island Beach Day offers live entertainment, dozens of family contests, inflatables, rides and games. On the beach infant of the cabana, there will be corn hole, bocce ball, sand castle building, and volleyball contests. A shake boarding contest will be held at the skate park and later a shag contest with live music by The Holiday Band.

Arts by the Sea Festival

This festival takes places on the waterfront and features a wide variety of art including jewelry, paintings, carvings, photography, sculpture, stained glass, and plenty of other crafts plus delicious food and wine tastings. There will be entertainment and activities for children as well.

Full day of entertainment and southern hospitality featuring a car show, street fair, recipe contest, BBQ cook-off, a 5K run, special exhibits, and lots more.

2nd Annual Anti-Poverty Festival

The Eastern Carolina Human Service Agency Inc.’s 2nd Annual Anti-Poverty Festival will be held from 10am-3pm at the Jack Amyette Recreation Park. Come for food, music, games, field day activities, a splash pad, vendors, community resources, and a basketball tournament. Admission is free. lawn chairs welcome.
