Virtual Holiday Party Ideas

Even though celebrations may look a little different this year, that does not mean the holidays have to be any less festive and fun. There are plenty of ways to spend time with family via Zoom or Facetime, let’s go over some ideas below!

Virtual Gift Swap

Just because you aren’t together does not mean you can’t send your family or friends some gifts from the heart. However, this activity will require some planning in advance. You will need to pick a date for the exchange, a budget for all gifts, assign pairs, mail gifts, etc.

Cookie Decorating Contest or Gingerbread House Building Contest

This is the PERFECT activity for your more competitive family and friends. For this activity you will either need to purchase sugar cookies and icing or if you opt for the gingerbread houses, you can find a kit at places like Target or Walmart. Set the clocks for an hour and see who can come up with the most creative cookies or gingerbread house! And the best thing about doing it virtually is you don’t have to share your sweet treats with anyone else!

Watch a Holiday movie together on Netflix

The great thing about virtually watching Christmas movies in 2020 is all of the platforms available to watch a movie together.  Platforms such as Netflix and Disney+ allow you to watch films together as a group. Teleparty synchronizes video playback and adds group chat to Netflix, Disney, Hulu and HBO. You can even take it up a notch and have each person pick a snack or snack recipe to share.

However you choose to celebrate the holidays this year, we wish you a safe, healthy, happy holiday season!
